It’s been a few months since Pizza Hut Indonesia introduced their latest menu highlight: the Cheese Rizz. At first glance, it seemed like just another promo item — maybe even a response to Domino’s ultra-viral Cheese Volcano. And honestly? I didn’t expect much.

But after trying it, I think this pizza might just be the comeback product Pizza Hut has been waiting for.

I’ve tried Domino’s Cheese Volcano. Honestly? It’s just a regular pizza with a pool of cheese “juice” in the center. A bit fun to look at, sure, but taste-wise, it’s not that special. The hype was bigger than the bite.

Cheese Rizz, on the other hand, feels far more thought out. It’s indulgent without being overwhelming, creative without going overboard, and — most importantly — actually delicious.

Unfortunately, despite all the attempts, Pizza Hut has been on a slow decline. Local pizza joints have stepped up their game with better flavors and fresher ingredients. Domino’s has gone full throttle with aggressive promos and endless crust options. Add a lingering boycott to the mix, and it’s easy to see why Pizza Hut hasn’t been top of mind for a while.

Three words: cheese, texture, balance.

Every slice of Cheese Rizz has gooey mozzarella inside the crust, melty cheese on top, and a golden, crispy layer of cheddar around the edge. The flavors are bold but comforting, and the texture contrast — melty center with a crunchy bite — makes it a genuinely enjoyable experience.

It’s the kind of pizza that reminds you why you liked Pizza Hut in the first place.

Cheese Rizz isn’t just another seasonal gimmick — it’s a sign that Pizza Hut can still innovate in ways that actually matter to pizza lovers. It brings back the excitement of ordering pizza not just out of convenience, but out of genuine craving.

Since trying it, I’ve found myself returning to Pizza Hut more often, even choosing it over other options when dining with family. It’s rare for a new pizza to make that kind of impact — but Cheese Rizz did.
